Madhmaheshwar, also spelled as Madhyamaheshwar, is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, India. It is one of the Panch Kedar temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds immense religious significance for devotees.

The temple of Madhmaheshwar is situated at an elevation of about 3,497 meters (11,473 feet) above sea level, surrounded by breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. To reach the temple, pilgrims must undertake a challenging trek of approximately 21 kilometers from the village of Ransi.

The trek to Madhmaheshwar takes trekkers through dense forests, pristine meadows, and picturesque landscapes, offering a delightful journey amidst nature's splendor. Along the way, travelers can enjoy the beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas, with peaks like Chaukhamba and Kedarnath visible in the distance.

Madhmaheshwar is one of the lesser-visited temples in the Panch Kedar circuit, making it a serene and tranquil place for spiritual seekers. The main deity at the temple is a Shivalinga, believed to be the navel of Lord Shiva, in contrast to the other Panch Kedar temples where body parts of Lord Shiva are worshipped.

The temple remains open only during the summer months, typically from May to October, due to heavy snowfall during the winter season, which makes the region inaccessible.
